ABOUT OUR COMPETITIVE PROGRAM
Our competitive program is for athletes wanting to be pushed at a competitive level within the score sheet guidelines. In the competitive program, the athletes will be performing the skills and routine that their team has established and built on throughout the year, based on increasing difficulty and judging feedback. They will travel and compete with their teammates that they are placed with at the start of the season. Athletes will build confidence and gain lifelong friendships while developing a strong work ethic.
Our goal is that each athlete will have the mindset that a team is only successful when hard work towards a common goal is achieved.
Every child wanting to try out is guaranteed a position at Galaxy Allstars!
WHAT IS ALL- STAR CHEERLEADING?
Allstar Cheerleading has evolved tenfold from the pompom stereotype to a nationally recognized sport headed for the Olympics and comprised of athletes performing an intricate routine utilizing strength, coordination, speed and technique for their jumps, tumbling, stunts, pyramid and dance, all while synchronized with 20 other individuals.
Cheerleading is unique in that it encourages individual development as much as team development. Your child can feel proud to learn a skill performed individually, that will, in turn, benefit their team. Athletes learn trust and dedication, respect for differences, and the perseverance needed to foster a strong work ethic while building their confidence and making life long friendships.
How Teams Are Created
Teams will be created using both age and skill level, and at the coaches discretion. Teams may not be created in the same way that they were in past seasons. Teams will be formed based on our current athletes, and there may be athletes placed on a team that tumble/stunt at a different level than some of their teammates. We try to match athletes up as best as possible, however, every athlete is placed on the team for a reason. Some may be stronger at tumbling, some will help more with stunts. The staff takes into consideration all factors when creating teams, and we ask that you trust us in this process. Our number one priority is the individual child and the betterment of our program. Our desire is to give every athlete in our program a positive and enriching experience.
